The first and most important tip, when it comes to starting to produce content for most platforms, is to ask yourself the purpose of the content being created and what directions can be taken. They do not need to be followed perfectly, but they can already help you trace a path.
The directions can be: the purpose of the production, where it will be released, the tone of the post (if it is a serious post or not) and other things that you deem necessary.
Video editing
Each person has their own way of editing a video, with the same scenes, a video can become anything you want, but there are some tricks that may help the process.
It is important to focus from the beginning on what type of video is being produced and to combine the scenes with this style. Imagine a video that has a narrator, to create a better connection with the audience it is interesting to show scenes of the person who is narrating, but also to illustrate the lines with some images.
Another important element is the background music. When we watch movies, like horror films, the soundtrack is one of the main things responsible for setting the scary and distressing tone.
In youtube videos, even though they are shorter, this also happens. Therefore, it is essential to add a background music, and it needs to be low and consistent with the message you want to convey or the story being told.
A story about overcoming situations uses a more exciting song; a video showing a trip, uses calmer and more cheerful music.
Pauses should be taken while editing the video to reduce the stress of spending too much time in front of a screen. You can take advantage of this pause to send what has already been developed to someone, asking for their opinion, after all, it is easy to overlook mistakes when you see it repeatedly.
Some tools for video editing are Adobe Premiere Pro and Sony Vegas, which aren’t free, but there are other programs that are free and do the same job, such as Lightworks. Another recommendation is After Effects, which helps add effects to enhance your video.
And don’t forget, It is essential to constantly revise your video during the editing process!
Photography
To obtain a good photograph, some precautions must be taken, such as controlling the exposure of the image. If not properly adjusted, the image may be underexposed (too dark) or overexposed (too light).
But, how do we control this? The photographic exposure is determined by the opening of the diaphragm, shutter speed and the ISO. So, you need to be aware and know each one of these things.
The diaphragm is formed by metal blades that, when rotated, increase or decrease the open circle between them, allowing more (or less) light to get to the lens.
ISO refers to the sensitivity of the sensor. A high ISO makes the sensor more sensitive to light, which helps to shoot in dark places, while a low ISO does the opposite, making it good for shooting in bright places.
Shutter speed is the amount of time the shutter is open for light to enter the camera's sensor.
A high speed brings a feeling that you have frozen the object, an example of use would be in a situation where you need to photograph a moving body.
A lower speed creates a more blurred effect to the image, this is good for photographing the sea, since it gives off a feeling that it is moving.
In addition to being careful with the exposure, we also need to be careful with the following factors: focus, photographic composition, the object's position, image position and camera angle.
The focus is used to show what the main subject of the photograph is and the composition is the organization of the elements you are photographing.
To know where to position the object there are two rules that can assist you in this process.

If you shoot with the camera upright, it will draw attention to the depth and height, while with the camera horizontally the highlight will be the width.
The last factor to pay attention to is the angle of the camera, it is divided into: low angle, eye level and high angle. Each of them has a different effect on the photo, so be careful!

Depending on the platform that the art will be posted on, the aspect ratio of the image changes. So, be careful not to make an Instagram design with a Facebook cover size.
After checking the image size, the next thing to do is to create a harmonic color palette. Adobe has a website that can help you with the composition of colors that are harmonious (https://color.adobe.com/en/create/color-wheel).
When it comes to design, invest in icons, geometric shapes, titles with beautiful fonts. If you have to use more than one piece of text, be very careful with what you pick, as the fonts need to match.
Two sites that have a large number of icons and most of which are available for free t are Flaticon and Freepick.
And to finish this off, here are some tips from programs widely used to edit your designs: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop. Again, Adobe's programs are not free, but Canva and Photopea are useful and free tools that happen to have a browser version.
