ABOUT US
About the team
Hello! We are the FRC team 5800, a robotics team created in 2015. Since our first days, we have been located at IFSC - Campus Florianópolis.
For four years we have been a part of the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), an international robotics competition held by FIRST, an American organization. We have also been a part of the China Robotics Challenge and of the Duel Down Under. By participating of these competitions, our team was able to achieve the Rookie All-Star Award (FIRST Robotics Competition - 2016), Inspiration Award (China Robotics Challenge - 2016), Team Spirit Award (FIRST Robotics Competition - 2019) and one of our students, Luísa Yumi, Achieved the Dean’s List Semifinalist Award (FIRST Robotics Competition - 2019).
The idea behind the competition is to turn robotics into a fun game. Every year FIRST launches a new challenge and every team has exactly 6 weeks to build the season’s robot!
By exploring our website and social media, you can get to know us better and learn more details about our story!

OUR LOGO
Our logo is a combination of our team’s identification in the competition with a simple representation of our mascot. It is still possible to identify the mascot (mullet), and with the use of shades of blue, alluding to water, represent our home town, Florianópolis, which is an island.
It is of extreme importance that the color and size patterns of our brand are respected when representing our team. Down below is the link to our team’s brand guidelines.
